PRACTICE 7. HUMAN SENSES

During our last practice of lab this year, we did an experiment detecting the different human senses. We had to do some as taping our nose and closing our eyes, and taste a juice and getting to know what flavour was it, and many more with each of all the five touches.

PRACTICE 6. EYE DISSECTION

During this practice we did the procedure of dissecting an eye of an animal either a cow, a pig or any animal, except the one of a fish. We saw the externalm structure of the eye, the internal strucure, and answered some questions after doing this experiment.

PRACTICE 5. CPR AND HEIMLICH MANEOVER

During our 5th practice of lab we learned how to help someone in case of emergency and safe his/her life either by the process of CPR or by the Heimlich maneover.
We demonstraeted with some videos how we practiced it. We applied it on both humans and toys.

Here we can see the CPR cycle. It consists on first checking out if the pacient is conscious or not. We will check it by his/her senses and depending on how his body responds. In case the person does not breath we either should ask for help or apply the Cpr.  It will consist on 30 chest compresions and 2 rescue breaths.  In case of being a baby, such as the one in the video, before we will have to do 5 insuflations, covering the baby's mouth ans nose.

Heimlich maneover process: Abdominal thrusts above belly bottom, 5 back flows so the person can get to cough, breath and become conscious or not and chock. In case of a baby, we should do 5 back flows, 5 chest compressions with 2 fingers, all upside down. With this we get conscious chocking so the person gets better.

PRÁCTICA 7. IDENTIFICANDO TIPOS DE ENLACES POR SUS PROPIEDADES

Durante esta práctica, después de haber aprendido a cómo agrupar los átomos, aprendimos los tipos de enlaces,  y con las distintas sustancias los enlaces que se podían formar. Las sustancias las  combinamos con otras sustancias y analizamos sus propiedades. Dependiendo de ello, siempre se formarían enlaces pero podrían ser covalentes, compartiendo electrones, iónicos, o incluso cristales.  También había enlaces metálicos dependiendo si las sustancias pertenecieran o no a los metales, o no metales o según su clasificación.

PRÁCTICA 6. MOLÉCULAS

Esta practica consistió en hacer un trabajo por parejas sobre las moléculas y aprender a como funcionan y cómo son los tipos de enlace, y enlazar los átomos entre sí. Para ello usamos diferentes materiales como la plastilina, algunos palillos y distintas bandejas.  El objetivo de esta práctica era el construir un grupo de átomos con el menor número de átomos posibles.  Cada elemento podía ser identificado mediante el código de co

PRÁCTICA 5. ESPECTROSCOPIO

Durante la 5 práctica de laboratorio, realizamos un experimento que consistía en usar un disco y hacer con una caja de galletas, un espectroscopio. Esto sirve para que se pueda observar como la luz ultravioleta y la radiación del disco dependido de la luz que enfoque y desde la perspectiva que se observe.

LAB DAY 4: HEART AND LUNGS DISSECTION

During day 4, we learned the procedure of how to study the anatomy of the lungs and heart of an animal( pig, cow) and did the dissection of it. Firstly, we had to see the lungs and trachea, then the external streucturw of the heart, the internal anatomy, and answer some questiobs which u will leave under answered in some videos and pictures explaining everything.
